The Somerset Food Trail - 18-27 July: You have until the 1st June to sign up as a venue for the Somerset Food Trail! The Trail celebrates the best of sustainably produced food across the county.
Community food and growing initiatives are part of the trail and we’re excited to see who’s signed up recently, including:
- 19 Jul - Pop-up potting shed & pantry - Glastonbury Library
- 21 July - Talk at The Bishops Palace Community Garden, Wells
- 26 Jul - Wild Roots open morning - 10am-1pm
- 27 Jul - Paddington Farm People's picnic (farm tours and volunteering during the week)
- Wedmore Village Farm
- A community feast with Frome Field2Fork
& other exciting events to be added soon:
- 20 Jul - Take Art: Cultivate are planning a Family Feast & Community Picnic, Chard
- Skool Beanz; a chance to visit the allotment, including book readings!
Somerset's community projects all do an amazing job of teaching communities how to grow and appreciate good food, enhance community wellbeing and take care of local environments. The trail will be a good opportunity to visit them.
