Set up a community seed library

community seed library text with pictures of seeds

It's the right time of year to share and sow seeds. If you want to start sharing seeds in your community this is another great idea (besides organising a seed swap event).

Some communities have set up a seed library in a community space, where locally-grown, saved & leftover seeds can be exchanged, e.g. in libraries. This creates a local repository which can be easily and regularly accessed, plus a good way to encourage people to start growing!

  • Trowbridge Seed Library - Trowbridge Library (just over the Somerset border)

We've also heard of a seed swap library in a phone box!
