What do you do? The Community Farm is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in the Chew Valley just outside Bristol and Bath.
We are a nature-friendly farm and work with a network of organic producers and local farmers who share our ethics to supply fresh, local and organic food to hundreds of households throughout Bristol, Bath, The Chew Valley, Frome and Weston-Super-Mare.
We aim to grow community as much as we grow food and every year we welcome more than 1,500 people onto the land for wellbeing courses, social events and volunteering sessions.
When do you meet? We offer a regular volunteering programme on Tuesdays and Thursdays where you can help out on the field, tending to our delicious crops, or help us to improve The Farm for wildlife by caring for our flower beds and wild spaces. And from March - November, we also run Community Farmer Days, a brilliant day out and a great introduction to life on The Farm.
Who can join? Adults and children are very welcome, no experience is necessary.
Is there wheelchair access? There is a wheelchair friendly compacted path leading up to our roundhouse and learning area where our wellbeing groups take place but the wider area is a working farm without wheelchair access.
